How did you become such a phone bitch?
I don't know. When I lived with Sheepdog he ran a phone line to my bathroom
cause he said I was on the phone constantly. Now with a sweet cell package
and ample down time at work, I can call people all the time and share all the
important stuff I have to say.

What is your current hair style like?
SMOOOOTH! I keep my hair shaved to almost nothing. Although I always looked
handsome with long, flowing locks, I must say that I look even better with a
shaved head. I guess you could say, "I'm too sexy for my hair".

Any chance of returning to the glory years of the mullet and ninja drops?
I really doubt if I'll ever return to the mullet. I may someday just let it
grow long again, you know, hessian style, long everywhere. As far as the
ninja drops, I still throw one in a run here and there. If you do tricks that are
really old, the new schoolers think you just made it up and you look like a
genius. Speaking of really old and genius, if Rick ever sports a mullet again,
then I will too!

Explain your "special" relationship with Albe's.
Mark Flipowicz has been a friend of mine for a long time and I like to show
Albe's support as a shop because they always show me support as a rider. Mark
is cool and that's that.

Do you plan to continue your cliff diving career this summer?
For those that don't know, this question refers to the SBC road / camping
trip that we took to Colorado last year and I am definitely up for some more
cliff diving. That trip was so much fun, I would "JUMP" at the opportunity to
spend another week in the mountains with a bunch of men. I know, this sounds
like an Academy Award winning movie script, but it wasn't like that for most of
us. And remember kids, when road tripping, it's all fun and games till someone
gets drenched in garbage!!!!!!

Why do you think some people refer to you as "old school"?
They may say that because I am. Some mean it as a positive thing, some
negative. I just think that it's because of how long I've been riding, I've been
doing the 4130 for as long as I can remember. If I'm referred to as old school
in a positive way, then I am honored to be a part of this BMX thing for so
long, if anyone says it in a negative way, then we'll just see if they can still
hang at 34 years old.

Do you have trouble with roll backs?
Lately roll backs are pissing me off. For some reason about the last month
or so they've been pretty inconsistant. That's ok though, I'm great at so many
other things!!!

Do you remember the Rampage jam when Buddha taped his hands to his grips to ride?
How could I forget......He had beat himself up so bad falling that his hands
were swollen and he couldn't hold on to his grips. He was determined to pull
some trick so the idiot had us tape his hands so he could hold on, we told him
it was a bad idea but he wouldn't listen. Somehow he didn't wreck himself
and his hands healed up enough to hold a fork in each of them so that he could
maintain his Buddha-ish figure to this day!!!!! Buddha rules.

In two sentences describe Sheep Dog to the young bucks.
He is better than you at everything good, and is worse than you at anything
bad. Sheepdog is and will always be my best friend.

Why do you hate the Waffle House?
I hate any place that serves terrible food and hires people that actually get
cleaner when they take out the trash. (see: any Walmart store)

What is your best memory of Doug Pauschuta?
That has to be anytime he did a no-footed cancan, to this day no one does
them better. Or maybe the time he called Mr. Moliterno a poser when he hit Doug
in the head with the door of the bathroom stall at the first (and best)
RAMPAGE.

What do you remember most about Krt Schmidt?
Probably his announcing at the early RAMPAGE contests. He always had so much
fun on the mic. He used to make me laugh so hard during my runs sometimes
that I had a hard time riding, I always managed to get through my runs, however,
with some bangers cause that's how pros roll. I also must mention his
amazing skills on a bike. I don't have to say how ahead of the game he was back
then. I had never heard of him before I started going to RAMPAGE, I don't know
how he was missed by the mainstream but he quickly became one of the riders
that most impressed me in the earlier years.

How many people will you call today?
SEVEN. But I may call some of them more than once. And all of them will
surely call me back if I happen to miss them, all except one that
is.........right Rick?

Describe Jeremiah Jones' riding.
That kid is DIALED!!! He rides full throttle or nuthin'. The first time I
met him was when we went to a contest at Chenga. I had a blast riding with
him, or at least I had a blast trying to keep up. I got nothing but a positive
vibe from him, he was just a ball of energy doing all the biggest, newest stuff
as well as his own original jibs. He seemed to be just having fun on his
bike, like if he was the only one in the place, he wouldn't have done anything
different. He was riding for himself. When I came home after that weekend I
told my friends what an unbelievable rider Jeremiah is, and how much of a
pleasure it was to ride with him. I hope he was stoked on riding with me too cause
I think it's fun when you get to ride with people that you can feed off of to
push each, and that have a genuine love for just riding their bike.

The second time I got to see him was when we took the trip out to Colorado.
And to see Jeremiah ride his local parks is nothing short of gynormous. One
of the parks had a six foot hip going into a mini then hipping out again into a
wedge. I was standing on the deck of the second hip with my bike when he
whipped the hip into the mini and double whipped out to the wedge sooooo high
that I strained my neck looking up at him during the double. He pretty much shut
down every session with the best trick of the day. Unfortunately he got
worked on a kinked handrail early in the trip and gave the rest of us a chance to
shine.

Over all I'd have to say on my list he's right up there with some of the best
riders in the world right now and I don't see him letting up. Too bad he may
not get the props he deserves at some contests because this sport has turned
a little too politically correct for my taste. Besides, since when did BMX
get so serious that you can't smash shit once in a while without bringing a box
of Kleenex for all the crybabies to wipe there pathetic tears.........

JEREMIAH JONES ROCKS.................Take it.
