| This is a photo insight to our finish process for each frame. Kind of fun and interesting, the time and care that goes into the finishing steps of our frames is something that not a lot of people know about. Check the descriptions and send us feed back to info@standardbyke.com
Just thought we would show the world what we do for fun!

This is our very accurate (and expensive!) alignment table. We check every single frame on this table to ensure that it is completely straight. The contact points are the drop outs, bottom bracket, seat tube, and head tube.

Here is a race bike loaded in the alignment table.

All bike with a Euro BB get their threads chased.

After all machining work and welding is done the frames go through our finish process to ensure each one is in great condition before they go off to powder. This is the first step after a frame leaves the welding area. The seat tubes all get reamed to ensure a proper fit. We have a custom 27.0 reamer for the race bikes as they need a perfect fit with the very thin wall tubing we use. We use a standard 25.4/ one inch reamer for the rest of our bikes.

After chasing the Euro’s the cable guides are silver soldered on.
-
-
We use warm soapy water to scrub the excess flux off from the cable guide area.
-
-
We do a little extra clean up with a scotch brite pad to be sure the area around the cable guides is extra smooth. After this we wipe them down and they are off to powder coat!
